General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)


GDPR brought in new legal protection for personal information effective from May 2018.
In order to give professional treatments, I will need to ask for, and keep, information about your health.

 

The lawful basis under which I hold and use this personal information is in order to provide you with the best possible treatment options and advice.

 

For insurance purposes it is required to hold this information for 8 years after last treatment, even if treatment has ceased. Thereafter it will be destroyed.

 

As a full member of the Association of Reflexologists, I abide by the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics and I follow code of ethics and professional practice for members of the UK Reiki Federation.

I am committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place appropriate technical, physical and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect from you.

You have right to know what information I hold about you and right to see the information I hold about you.

The declaration form for the purpose of processing client data, including the lawful basis for holding and using client Information, what information I hold, what I do with it, the protection of it and for how long to keep it, your rights and therapist's rights will be made clear to you before being asked to sign the form during your first consultation.
